Regulators of Australian Co-operatives

Every state and territory has a statutory officer created under co-operatives legislation called the Registrar of Co-operatives, who is responsible for administering their respective co-operatives acts. The functions of the Registrar are prescribed in the acts. The Registrar is located within a government department that also administers other business structures (except companies).
