Duties performed
  • Investigated and prepared reports on submissions for assistance under the Co-operative Development Program and Employment Development Program.
  • Reviewed and reported of the findings of feasibility studies for co-operatives.
  • Provided guidance to consultants in the conduct of studies relating to the future development of co-operatives.
  • Implemented and assessed training courses and consultancy services.
  • Developed funding contracts between the Ministry and funded organisations.
  • Prepared reports and recommendations for consideration by senior management and the Minister.
  • Serviced various policy and program committees.
  • Provided administrative support for the program.
  • Determined appropriate funding conditions for funded organisations.
  • Monitored the performance of funded co-operatives to ensure compliance with funding guidelines and to report on progress and performance.
  • Ensured adequate financial management and controls are maintained by funded co-operatives in conjunction with representatives of Ministry funded co-operative support services.
  • Prepared articles for inclusion in journals.
Achievements
  • Assisted in establishing the Co-operative New Enterprise Course at Preston College of TAFE.
  • Secretary, Co-operative Development Program Funding Committee.
  • Involved in preparing the terms of reference for the establishment of Ministerial Advisory Committee on Co-operation (MACC).
  • Assisted in organising the June 1984 MACC conference.
  • Researched and co-wrote the publication The Development of the Co-operative Movement in Victoria, published by MACC in 1984.
