Consumer Co-operatives
A consumer co-operative aggregates the purchasing
power of individuals and families to provide cheaper prices for goods and
services and/or to obtain goods and services that would otherwise be
unavailable.
A consumer co-operative can either exist as a
community enterprise,
where membership is open to the general public,
or a consumer buying group that serves a particular stakeholder group such as
university
students.
